NAB SHOW 2023

Leader Electronics will be exhibiting at the NAB Show 2023 in Las Vegas from 15-19 April.

A key theme of the exhibition will be 'Making Your SDI/IP Transition Smooth', demonstrating technologies for effectively operating mixed IP & SDI infrastructure environments during the transition period, including SDI to IP, HD to 4K UHD, SDR to HDR, and new at NAB 2023 support for compressed IP JPEG-XS.

Leader Electronics and PHABRIX meet all measurement and signal monitoring needs of broadcasters, production studios, remote production centers, mobile vehicle operators, post-production companies, equipment manufacturers, online media service providers, etc. At the NAB stand, the two companies will showcase their latest technologies.

Waveform monitor LV5600 / Rasterizer LV7600 ‘True Hybrid’ IP & SDI

 

The LV5600-SER33 and LV7600-SER33, JPEG-XS-compatible options, will be exhibited. The LV5600-SER33 and LV7600-SER33 are the world's first JPEG-XS-compatible waveform monitors and rasterizers.

JPEG-XS is an ultra-low latency, lightweight image encoding system that compresses data volumes from 2:1 to a maximum of 15:1, enabling low-cost infrastructure equipment with visually loss-free image quality.

This option enables stream analysis, encoding and decoding of SMPTE ST 2110-22 (JPEG-XS), compressed video signals, packet header analysis, packet error detection and comparison display of JPEG-XS, SDP and ST2110-40.

The system enables the evaluation of JPEG-XS compressed video signals. It can also generate a SMPTE ST 2110-22 (JPEG-XS) compressed video test signals, providing greater convenience to broadcasters and network operators.

A demonstration of the JPEG-XS input/output will be exhibited on actual equipment.

8K-compatible waveform monitor LV5900A

 

It features a range of tools for content creators, broadcasters and equipment manufacturers transitioning to 8K. The focus detection algorithm developed by Leader Electronics applies non-linear super-resolution technology to enable sensitive focus detection even in low-contrast video, which was previously difficult to detect. It is compatible with the SMPTE ST2082-12 standard for receiving 8K video over a 12G-SDI quad link. Compatible with SMPTE ST2082-12 standard.

World's first!!!　4K 25G-IP/12G-SDI portable waveform monitor (battery-powered)

The QxP is a high-performance product capable of monitoring and measuring 25G-IP and 12G-SDI signals. The standard specification supports IP input and supports SMPTE ST2110, ST2022-6, PTP and NMOS. By selecting a base model or adding options, the required functions can be used from SDI input, 4K IP, IP and SDI TSG, SDI EYE/JITTER analysis, SDI stress, HDR, PCAP and more.

 

The power supply is AC and DC and can also be powered by industry-standard camera batteries, making measurements portable. The display unit has a high-resolution 7" monitor for easy monitoring. An external HDMI monitor can also be used for display. Up to 16 measurement windows can be displayed simultaneously, and the measurement windows can be combined by selecting the display size from 1/16, 1/4 and full size.
